Cylinder Safe Handling
Before using any compressed gas cylinder, you should read and familiarize yourself with all safety precautions. Proper precautions must be taken to avoid serious injury or death. Secure all helium cylinders (in excess of 40 lbs.) with a Safety Wall Bracket, Cylinder Safety Stand or a 4-Wheel Cylinder Hand Truck.

Hydrostatic Testing
By law, all cylinders holding compressed gases must undergo a process called "hydrostatic testing" every five years. This test certifies that your cylinder is compliant with state safety regulations and protects the employer, employees and customers from a possible rupture in an old tank. Find a hydrostatic testing facility near you
Test dates for your tanks will be stamped in the crown of the cylinder. The numbers ill be in this order: Month/Test Facility ID/Year.

Department of Transportation Regulations
1. All cylinders must be identified with a Department of Transportation (DOT) label.
2. A Gas Transportation Document must be in plain view in the driver's compartment while full or partially filled cylinders are being transported.
3. For additional transportation safety guidelines and regulations please visit the National Dept. of Transportation.

The U.S. Material Safety Data Sheets - Helium contains important information that you should know before working with any compressed gas cylinder and helium.
